Watch Christina Aguilera Perform ‘At Last’ at Etta James’ Funeral

Soprano songbird Christina Aguilera was among the hundreds of Etta James friends, fans and family who convened to remember the legendary rhythm and blues singer at her funeral service on Saturday.
James died of complications from leukemia near her home in Riverside, California last week. She was 73.
Approximately 300 mourners gathered at Greater Bethany Community Church City of Refuge in Gardena, California for James’ memorial. And Aguilera delivered a rousing rendition of Etta’s most famous ballad, “At Last.”
The icon singer’s version of the song has become an enduring anthem for weddings and commercials. It’s also pretty hot on the charts this days. Since James’ death on Jan. 20, sales for her albums have jumped by 378%, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
The signature track was the best-selling James single last week, shifting 63,000 downloads. Etta’s previous Billboard peak came with her 1961 LP At Last, which debuted at No. 68. More than 50 years later, At Last has re-entered the chart in the No. 96 position.
