Miranda Cosgrove Overcomes Her Fear After Tour Bus Accident, Gets Driver’s License
The ‘iCarly’ star admits that she ‘got scared for a second after the accident,’ but has now conquered her fear, saying, ‘Now I have my license and I’m totally into driving.’Miranda Cosgrove has got over her fear of driving a car months after suffering broken ankle from her tour bus accident. In an interview with E! News at Ashley Greene’s Lucky magazine cover celebration on February 2, the 18-year-old actress revealed that she finally got her driver license.
“I was so excited to get my license and I was already a little behind with it,” she said before adding, “And I got scared for a second after the accident.” The “Kissin’ U” singer went on, “Now I have my license and I’m totally into driving. It makes me a safe driver.”
During the chat, Miranda also recalled her time when she’s still recovering from the accident. “I was so bored for a while, I just watched ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians’ and I laid in bed,” she said. “And then I started cleaning out my whole room and doing a whole bunch of boring stuff. So I’m super excited to be back.”
The accident happened on I-70 outside of Vandalia, Illinois back in August 2011. Miranda’s tour bus collided with a tractor-trailer. The Carly Shay depicter on “iCarly” suffered a broken ankle, while the truck driver Phillip Carter and the bus driver Rodney McClure got seriously injured.
