Jennifer Lawrence Meets Her Impressive Designer at Capitol in New ‘Hunger Games’ Clip

In the sneak peek, the District 12 heroine is seen having a one-on-one encounter for the first time with her trusty designer after she arrives in the flashy Capitol.
Cinna is seen introducing himself to Katniss as saying, “I’m sorry that this happened to you and I’m here to help you in any way that I can.” The stylist then promises the female Tribute that he will transform her look to impress the world during her introduction night.
In the Suzanne Collins novel, Katniss is struck by the well-groomed citizens of the Capitol, while she herself looks really modest. Her meeting with Cinna brings her to the world of fashion that changes her look during the Hunger Games.
Talking about his character during an interview on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show”, Kravitz said, “He’s the stylist of Katniss.” The singer-turned-actor added, “His job is to her forge an impression, so she has a better chance of surviving.”
In the “Hunger Games”, Katniss replaces her sister in the annual deadly games sponsored by the Panem government. With the help from her drunkard mentor Haymitch Abernathy, the prodigious archer is forced to rely upon her sharp instinct to survive in the live televised games and come back home to the mining district.
Lawrence and Kravitz are joined by a set of notable stars in the cast ensemble. They include Josh Hutcherson as Peeta, Liam Hemsworth as Gale Hawthorne, Woody Harrelson as Haymitch, Elizabeth Banks as Effie Trinket, and Wes Bentley as Seneca Crane. This novel adapted film is directed by Gary Ross and is scheduled to arrive in the U.S. theaters on March 23.
