E! News has broken the news that Selena’s single “Love You Like a Love Song” is set to be featured in an upcoming episode of the FOX hit series.
While the series’ producers have yet to make a confirmation to the report, it is revealed that the hit single will appear in a “sure-to-be epic prom episode” of the musical comedy series. Meanwhile, the lucky star who is chosen to perform the song is none other than the Rachel Berry depicter, Lea Michele.
According to an insider, the particular episode, written by creator Ryan Murphy, has already been shot last week. The source revealed that Lea turned in “a really powerful performance” of the radio hit. The report emerged following Lea’s tweet last April 4, when she hinted about filming a prom scene. She wrote, “Longest. Prom. Ever.”
This will be this first time Selena’s song getting a makeover on the hit show. On the other hand, her boyfriend Justin Bieber’s hits had already been performed on the show for several times. Those songs included “Somebody to Love” and “Baby”.
Aside from Selena, another teen idol who will soon get a “Glee” treatment is One Direction. Chris Colfer recently teased that the producers might make a tribute to the pop group, saying, “Maybe we’ll do a One Direction tribute episode.”
