Pics: Josh Hutcherson Adopts ‘Most Well-Behaved’ Pit Bull Called Driver
Of the injured puppy he recently rescued from the Downey Animal Shelter, the Peeta Mellark of ‘Hunger Games’ says, ‘He’s incredible. He’s doing great.’Josh Hutcherson has proven that he’s a real animal lover. The actor, who gets famous for playing Peeta Mellark in “The Hunger Games”, has just adopted an 8-week-old injured pit bull, which he calls Driver.
Sharing his happiness for having the new pet, the 19-year-old actor told E! News, “He’s literally the most well-behaved dog you have ever met.” He added, “For a puppy, he doesn’t chew things up, he’s already almost housebroken and he’s only 8 weeks old.”
Gushing about his adorable pit bull, Josh, who was once rumored to be dating Vanessa Hudgens, excitedly said, “He’s incredible. He’s doing great. His eyes are like that grey, silvery-blue pit eyes. They’re so beautiful.”
Sasha Rose from Hands Paws Hearts in Lancaster, California told E! News that Josh rescured Driver from the Downey Animal Shelter. Before being taken home by the Kentucky-born actor, the puppy had to undergo a surgery for having a broken femur. It also reportedly missed a few toes.
