Rob Kardashian Hoofing It On “Dancing With The Stars” Season 13

Another member of the Kardashian Klan is headed for the ballroom on the next cycle of ABC’s Dancing With The Z-Listers Stars.
Rob Kardashian, perhaps best known as the slacker baby bro of socialites Kourtney, Khloe, and Kim Kardashian, has negotiated a deal to appear on Season 13 of the popular show — which matches celebrities with professional ballroom dancers and tosses them in front of a camera in competition with one another. It was Rob, 24, who negotiated the deal, despite initial concerns preparation for the contest would clash with his sister Kim’s forthcoming wedding, ABC sources told TMZ.com Thursday. (Oh — in case you haven’t heard, Kim will wed her NBA beau Kris Humphries on Saturday, August 20 in Montecito, California.)
Speaking of Kim, Rob’ll be hoping to fare better than the buxom sex symbol when he takes part in Dancing With The Stars. Kim and her rhythmless caboose were eliminated just three weeks into the contest in back 2008. And here’s to hoping th Calabasas Bad Boy stays on his feet and off his back; which is pretty much the position he assumed in his last public contest. You may recall that Rob had to be taken to hospital in Nov. 2009 after taking part in a bout in a special charity boxing evening along with his siblings to raise money for The Dream Foundation.
“When Rob stepped in the ring to fight, his opponent was at least 25 lbs heavier than him, even though they had assured us that they were screening the people we were fighting against and that they would be within 5 lbs of our weights!” Kim explained at the time. “At one point Rob’s mask fell off and when he put his hands down he got hit in the face and ended up in hospital with a concussion. Rob’s a strong guy and can definitely hold his own, but he wasn’t expecting to get hit after his mask had fallen off! This guy just got really down and dirty!”
ABC’s Dancing With The Stars Season 13 kicks off with a two-night event Sept. 19. The official cast announcement is expected next month.
